LO3: Producing a final animated product.
Creating the Animation:
![]() |
| When creating the animation, I import the different shots into Adobe Premiere and make sure they all have equal timing and are in the right order. |
The purpose of the scene below was to show that the bully is a terrifying and imposing person to Younger. I did this using a low angle and camera movement that's tilting upwards to give the feeling that he's towering over Younger. In the next shot, I show Younger from a high angle, which was done to show that the bully is belittling Younger and that he is weak. The clouds appearing in the background was also there to make the introduction of the bully more gloomy and melancholy, as this is the effect the bully has on Younger's life.
The purpose of this scene was to show the brotherly bond between Younger and Older, that his older brother is always there for him, to pick him up when he's down. This is further implied because Older is in a super hero suit, I did this to symbolise that he is Younger's hero and a role model to him.
This scene's purpose was to further show that Younger sees his brother as a hero, when in actuality he isn't. Older smiles at Younger in his normal clothes, showing that he is just an average boy. The clouds, unlike the bully scene, go away and the sky becomes clearer, this could symbolise that the day got brighter for Younger because of his brother.
Offline Edit:
Improvements: The animation could be made longer by altering the pace of the animation and adding more shots that were left out.
Evidence of Editing:
I had used an effect called Cross Dissolve which allowed me transition from one scene to the next, it helped create a setting for the animation as there was a transition from one place to the next.
In the top left of Adobe Premiere, it allows you to select an individual clip to edit it, I used this for a scene where I wanted to zoom in on the characters face to help emphasise their expression, this was useful to show the shock on Younger's face when he meets the bully, so that the audience would understand he's scared.
In this scene I wanted to create a sense of threat and intimidation from the Bully. I created this scene from a low angle to do this, but wanted to include a tilting camera movement that would 'look up' at the Bully, helping to add more of a imposing feel to the bully. To do this, I keyframed from one position to the next so that the camera would move up.

Version 1:
The way I created the scenes had changed too, I had originally planned to use Adobe Animate (I used Adobe Photoshop instead) to keyframe movements so it would look more smooth, in the end it did look more like the style I was going for, that being stop-motion, but I believe I could have made more frames in each scene to give the animation more motion.
The two key tools I have used for editing in Adobe Premiere are the trimmer and effects. The trimmer allows me to both cut and extend the time of a clip, this was useful for giving each shot the right amount of time on screen so the stop-motion was more fluid instead of each frame taking five seconds.
The effect were useful for creating both camera work and transitions in the animation. Examples of camera work were tilting, which I had used to introduce the bully, it helped to make it feel as though he is intimidating to Younger and the other was a zoom in which I had used to emphasise Younger's shocked expression when the bully appears before him. The transition effect I had used the most, in place of cuts, was the film dissolve, I had also used the dip to black effect to transition to the credits at the end of the animation.
There's no dialogue in my film, but I still used sound effects and music that fit the moment. I had chosen calm music for the introduction, evil-like music for the climax/problem and hero music for the solution and conclusion. I had to also use the trim tool to cut down the music so it's the right length.
